CONDITIONS OF DEVELOPMENT OF MORAL-PSYCHOLOGICAL SUSTAINABILITY OF EMPLOYEES OF THE NATIONAL POLICE OF UKRAINE

Abstract

Purpose. The purpose of the article is to study the conditions of development of moral and psychological stability of employees of the National Police of Ukraine.

Methods. The passage of law enforcement service poses a number of conditions for moral and psychological stability, which have not been thoroughly explored in domestic psychological science. The research needs an aspect of ensuring the continuous development of moral and psychological resilience of officers of the National Police of Ukraine. Methodological approaches such as axiological, andragogical and systemic have been chosen to achieve the purpose and to address the objectives of the study. The axiological approach allows one to consider as one of the main tasks of the process of development of the moral and psychological stability of the personality, the involvement of police officers in socio-cultural values. Andragogical approach is focused on the integrity of subject-subject interaction, synergistic methodology. The systemic approach allows to consider the internal structure of moral and psychological stability, distinguishing the components integrated into it: cognitive-operational, motivational-value, organizational-personality, reflexive.

Results. Stability of moral and psychological state in the general sense is the degree of the ability of the individual to withstand pressure, not to be exposed to negative influences of the external social and natural environment, factors and circumstances, both official and social nature. Under the organizational conditions of forming the psychological stability of the staff factors necessary for the effective development of moral and psychological resilience in police officers, which contributes to the hastily pursuing their professional activity. The formation of moral and psychological stability of police officers should be considered from the standpoint of axiological, andragogical and systematic approaches. From the point of view of the axiological approach, the development of moral and psychological stability of the individual takes place in the process of education and upbringing and is achieved by increasing the level of internal motivation of police officers to professional activity. Andragogical approach involves the development of moral and psychological stability of the personality of a police officer on the system of interdependent and complementary principles (unity of personal, sociocultural and professional orientation; unity of development, self-development and professional training; and the presence of a stimulating environment. Within the systematic approach, at all stages of human adaptation to the professional environment, there must be a continuous character development of moral and psychological stability.

Conclusions. On the basis of the above-mentioned, the concept of the conditions of formation of psychological stability of police officers was defined and it was proved that the formation of moral and psychological stability of police officers is facilitated by a set of factors that must be considered in terms of axiological, andragogical and systematic approaches.
