Under practical activity, the author understands the ability to join and maintain a long-term emotional relationship with other people, remaining empathetic and sensitive. In the article aleksetimium is isolated as a factor affecting all spheres of human life, and it correlates inversely with the quality of life, with the possibility of more responsible and confident behavior. The author conducted a study on psychology students using the Toronto Alexithymic Scale in order to identify the ability to differentiate emotional states, their ability to verbalize, and the relation to the type of their psychological protection. The study was attended by 48 students of 3-4 courses, specializing in psychology, mostly girls (44), the average age of 20 years. The results of the study reflect the relationship between the level of anxiolytic manifestations and the prevailing type of psychological protection and the degree of its manifestation. High values of anxiolytic manifestations correlate with higher values of emotional stress on jackals of psychological protection.
