In this article essence of social worker's profession is researched along with methods of creating theoretical models of work and personality of person in line of social work, and based on them work out own model. Functional, objective and personal aspects of social work specialist's activity are analysed, with increased attention to his attitude towards job, clients and himself, alongside system of professionally required qualities. This research pays a lot of attention to psychologically oriented model of social work, methods of humanitarian psychology and reflexively-therapeutic approach in work with client. Term of psychological culture is defined and it's components are represented in the structure of professional model of social worker.
