INDIVIDUAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL QUALITIES OF AN ENTREPRENEUR WHO RUNS BUSINESS IN THE DE-OCCUPIED TERRITORIES

Abstract

The relevance of the study of individual and psychological qualities of entrepreneurs who showed resiliencein wartime conditions, provided jobs for their employees who remained in dangerous areas. Establishing the personality types of a modern sustainable entrepreneur is a necessary step for the formation of correctiveor advisory programs to improve the effectiveness of activities. Purpose. The purpose of the article is toform a psychological profile of an effective entrepreneur in the conditions of modern challenges. Thetask of the article is to theoretically and empirically investigate the individual and typological featuresof the personality of a modern entrepreneur who works in difficult conditions. The article analyzes the conceptof “entrepreneur”. The basic psychological types of entrepreneurs according to E. Roberts are theoreticallydescribed. A personal portrait of a successful entrepreneur has been created. Types (models) of entrepreneurshipare defined. Methods. To analyze the individual and typological features of an effective entrepreneur, methodswere used, namely: the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) test, the Entrepreneurial potential self-assessmentmethod, the “Diagnosis of motivation for success” method by T. Ehlers, the “Measuring resilience to stressusing the Connor – Davidson Resilience Scale-10” (CD-RISC-10). Results. Effective entrepreneurs havea moderately high level of motivation for success and are more resistant to stress. By personality type, almostevery second effective entrepreneur belongs to the group of analysts, 25% – watchmen, 18,75% – researchersand 12,5% – diplomats. At the same time, the most dominant personality type among effective entrepreneurs isthe Commander. Conclusions. It has been confirmed that there is a direct linear relationship between the indicatorof motivation, ability/giftedness and outlook of the surveyed entrepreneurs-respondents and their overallentrepreneurial potential. Thus, the specified indicators affect the continuation of entrepreneurial activities inmodern conditions. The prospects of the research are the development of a program of psychological supportfor entrepreneurs to increase their resilience in modern conditions.
