REFERENCE PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE OF COMMUNICATIVE PROFESSIONALLY IMPORTANT QUALITIES OF PSYCHOLOGIST-CONSULTANT

Abstract

Purpose. The purpose of the study is to expertly substantiate the list of communicative professionally important qualities of a counseling psychologist and to build a reference psychological profile communicative qualities of a counseling psychologist.

Methods. In scientific research, the main methods were – analysis and synthesis; questionnaires, mathematical statistics, ranking and classification. Using the method of: 1) analysis and synthesise – a list of communicative professionally important qualities of a counseling psychologist was identified; 2) questionnaire – the degree of development of communicative professionally important qualities of a psychologist-consultant is established; 3) mathematical statistics – statistically calculated results, invented average indicators for each quality; 4) ranking – the selection of reference communicative professionally important qualities of a psychologistconsultant with a medium, high and very high degree of development; 5) classifications – systematized scientific ideas about the list of communicative professionally important qualities of a counseling psychologist.

Results. According to the results of scientific research, it is established that the majority of respondents, expertly assessing the reference psychological profile of groups of communicatively professionally important qualities (communicative-ethical, communicative-technological, communicative-positional), are convinced that these qualities should have a high psychologist-consultant. And a very high degree of development. Comparing the reference psychological profile of groups of communicative professionally important qualities of the counseling psychologist with his real profile, the difference in expert assessments was stated (in general, the reference indicators are higher than the real indicators.

Conclusions. Communicative professionally important qualities of a counseling psychologist should be classified into the following groups: a) communicative and ethical – tolerance, tact, correctness, delicacy, impartiality; b) communicative-technological – diplomacy, dialogue; c) communicative-positional – sociability, contact, openness, assertiveness. This classification provides an opportunity to systematize the theoretical provisions for groups of communicative professionally important qualities, as well as to determine the areas of study of the personality of the candidate for the position of “psychologist-consultant”. Comparing the real psychological profile of the degree of development of communicatively professionally important qualities of a counseling psychologist with the reference, it is established that these profiles do not coincide in expert assessments, however, the presence of these expert assessments indicates that our identified communicative professionally important qualities should be reflected in the psychodrama of the counseling psychologist. Prospects for further exploration are seen in the study of communicative professionally important qualities in counseling psychologists - masters of their craft and established a reference psychological profile of communicative professionally important qualities of a counseling psychologist.
