PSYCHOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF THE CAUSES OF VIOLATIONS OF EATING BEHAVIOR

Abstract

In the article it is argued, that food behavioral disfunctions include a behavioral range from the expressed limitations in food (up to complete refusal from meals) at a nervous anorexia to the overeating episodes, when a person feels the clear difficulties in control over the volume of eaten meals (nervous bulimia and compulsive overeating). It is marked, that disorders arise up, as a rule, in juvenile and early adult age, when usually large attention is spared to one’s appearance. Food behavior disfunctions often is the method of control of those changes in a body, that bring with itself the sexual maturing. It is marked, that family can play a critical role in the development of eating disorders. It is proved, that the more than half of families in which at least one of members suffers such disorder has «long history» of excessive disturbance about the appearance and keepeing to the diet. To the basic factors of origin of violations of food behavior belong: social accent on a thinness and preconceived attitude toward obese people; domestic situation at that family members can be tied around by the web of interfamily connections; Ego and cognitive disorders, including insufficient sense of independence; bad mood; dissatisfaction with life; biological factors, such as activity of hypothalamus, chemicals.
