Abstract

The article features the influence of the psychology of building ethnic boundaries on the formation of political and ideological values of Ukrainian youth in the context of socio-cultural, historical and geopolitical conditions for the development of the regions of Ukraine. Changing geopolitical orientation of Ukraine led to a reassessment of the previously professed ideals and changes in political values. At the same time, because of the large inertia of the political consciousness persist the old system of political values, which may be in conflict with the values proposed by the new political regime. An analysis of the political processes in regions of Ukraine confirms its undemocratic character and intense psychological adaptation of citizens to the reincarnation of the authoritarian political regime.
