AGE DYNAMICS OF PROFESSIONAL ORIENTATION OF PHILOLOGY STUDENTS

Abstract

This article reviews results of an empirical study of conditions in which psychosemantic content of professional consciousness of philology students is formed. Professional inclinations and professional abilities of students studying philological disciplines were determined on the basis of a representative sampling using I.L. Solomin’s Orientation questionnaire. An empirical proof of the assumption that specifics of perception by philology students of their future profession are determined by their initial professional intentions: professional abilities and orientation, which bear upon specific perception of the surrounding world and formation of the “world of philology” picture was obtained in the course of this study.
