PECULIARITIES OF THE TEST METHODS USAGE FOR THE DIAGNOSTICS OF THE MATHEMATICAL GIFTEDNESS

Abstract

The article describes peculiarities of test methods for the diagnosis of the mathematical giftedness. It is highlighted and analyzed the main group of tests that are traditionally used to identify and assess the potential of mathematically gifted people. It’s highlighted the questions of shortage of modern valid diagnostic tests of mathematical intelligence formation, mathematical thinking and mathematical components of the giftedness. It is emphasized that existing methods are only separate elements of complex psych diagnostic examination of the gifted, and their usage requires proper professional training and special education.
