THE ISSUE OF PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS’ ADAPTATION TO THEIR PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY

Abstract

A great number of road accidents happen with the involvement of professional drivers on the Ukrainian roads nowadays. One of the ways to solve a road safety problem in Ukraine is to modernize drivers work authorization system according to the modern European regulatory requirements. The system of medical and psychological examinations is one of the main and the most important instruments to measure drivers’ adaptation level at the stages of prior, preshift and dynamic medical control. Adaptability level determination is a key point to drivers’ professional reliability increase and consequently to accident rate reduction on Ukrainian roads.
