INFLUENCE OF EXTREME SPORTS ACTIVITIES ON ATHLETES’ GENDER CHARACTERISTICS

Abstract

Based psychodiagnostic survey identified 49 athletes especially their gender characteristics. It was shown that athletes group “feminine” sports specializations risk is much smaller than the group sportswomen “masculine” sports majors. In the group of girls “masculine” values of sports majors leading advocate self-development, maintaining their own individuality and spiritual satisfaction; in athletes “feminine” sports majors leading advocate preserving their own individuality and high financial situation.
