The basic experimental methods developed by P.B. Nevelsky (1918–1973 years), one of the remarkable members of Kharkiv School of Psychology, were described and analyzed. The methods are meant to investigate the memory processes: memorization, retention and reproduction from the position of informational and activity approaches to the study of memory. The methods descriptions include the subject instructions, experimental material, research procedure, analysis of obtained data.
