Abstract

The article deals with the peculiarities of different attention parameters under the influence of motion activity according to the results of five-minute work with the proof-reading test based on E. Landolt’s ophthalmologic rings. 73 people at the age from 15 to 23 took part in the research. The conclusion is that automatic motion activity (mastication of chewing gum) leads to considerable increase of attention. The possible mechanisms of the phenomenon under observation are discussed.
