Abstract

The results of empiric research on female food behavior are summarized in the article. Study of empirical and theoretical regularities allows to classify food behaviors of women of fertile age into following types: cognitive; emotional; operational; motivational; self-regulative food behavior. The developed classification also assumes to distinguish planned and spontaneous food behavior types on the grounds of self-regulation. Final component involves locus of control as classification determinant, maping out personal and field/situational food behaviors respectively.
