Abstract

The concept of embodied self-regulation is introduced to explain the role played by bodily states in self-control. The hot–cold decision triangle is presented. Therefore a new model is proposed the high–low embodied
decision matrix, which also considers the level of embodiment of a deliberating system. Consumers focused on long-term goals while taking into account their bodily states are more likely to adopt healthier behaviors.
The positive cross-correlation connection between food dependence and restrictive food behavior is found. It proves that disorders of food behavior have general intrapersonal basis, and psychotherapy influences must be built with taking into account of position of integral personality
